Companies prefer Newsletters because they sound fancy and professional; since newsletters are the traditional way of sharing a company’s information, they give people a sense of comfort.
Who Needs a Newsletter: Companies, Institutions, Charities, etc. Any entity where people are financially invested should send Newsletters to update their supporters.
How Often To Send: Quarterly or Monthly.
The Problem: Newsletters are very long and wordy. They take a very long time to put together and very few people will read them.
Definition: a Blog is a regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style.
Real Life: A blog is a fun way to engage your audience in or inform them of one particular subject related to your business or passion. Blogs are distributed in e-mails, on your website or through social media. The overall goal is to capture your target market’s attention. People like them because they are interesting and an easy read.
Who Needs a Blog: Independent Business Owners and Professionals should write blogs to establish themselves as experts in their field.
How Often to Send: Daily, Weekly or Monthly
The Problem: There are so many blogs out there, and blogs are very wordy. This means it may be difficult to get a lot of people to see your blog and you need to be very creative.
Definition: E-mails are messages distributed by electronic means from one computer user to one or more recipients via a network.
Real Life: E-mails are the best way to inform your audience about everything that is happening in your company or business. They have a higher ROI than any other marketing strategy out there. E-mails should be limited to 20 lines or less and can include links to your website, newsletters, blog, social media and more!
Who Needs E-mail Marketing: Everyone in business. If you are in business, you need to send e-mails.
How Often to Send: As often as you have relevant content that is different and interesting. Some industries send e-mails multiple times a week and others send one e-mail a month.
The Problem: Nothing. E-mail Marketing is the best!
